As I keep practicing flying, I am planning to start writing down logs of the flights as entries here (for posterity). Hopefully some of them are interesting!
I managed to sneak up to Mary Cummings Park this afternoon (Saturday 4/10/21) to the Burlington RC Flyers Field. It was a gorgeous afternoon, late 60’s Fahrenheit with low wind (around 3-5 mph, app said 15 mph gusts but felt lighter.
I managed to fly two batteries worth on my Mavic Air 2. With the lower wind’s I also managed to get up to almost 300 feet altitude, so got a lot better photos this time around.
I also met another family there from the Burlington RC. I keep being impressed how friendly everyone is. Watched some RC planes flying around and was shocked how fast the racing FPV drone they had was able to go.
All in all a great afternoon and some good practice time in. I feel a bit more capable every time I get out.
