Flight Log

I took the drone out on a gorgeous autumn morning (11/22/21) at the same location at Horn Pond I had previously, hoping to get some New England Foliage shots. It was a beautiful morning, a lot sunnier then the last time. I was a bit worried heading over that wind gusts (app was threatening as high as 20mph, but definitely didn’t seem to be) would be an issue, but it settled down nicely for good flight conditions. There was some direct sun in the eyes I had to deal with, but otherwise visibility was excellent.

The good news is I got some pretty shots with much more sun then last time. Unfortunately, the foliage had not quite settled in, so the interesting photos I was hoping for didn’t quite materialize.

Photos

A lot of the photos I took very much resembled what I took last time, but they were a lot more vibrant with the sun.

There was some color, but still a lot of green. The water came out a lot more vibrant.

I will say Horn Pond definitely remains overall one of the more fun places to fly. For the second time, I was very easily able to take off/land and enjoy flight time without even remotely worrying about safety. I am sure this will continue to be a fun flight spot, and curious if I can manage to get some better photos when leaves actually change, and maybe even in winter.
